Orange Dupioni silk bow tie belonging to the British artist, equally as famous for his eccentric manner of dress as for his artwork.  "A master of casual dressing, Hockney's sense of style inspires today's designers; Burberry, Jonathan Saunders and Ossie Clark have all paid tribute to [him] in previous collections...[He] dressed with a sense of joy and mischief, deliberately wearing odd socks, specs with one lense framed in black and the other gold... Hockney met Henry Geldzahler, a curator at the Metropolitan Museum, at Andy Warhol's New York apartment in the 1960's.  Hockney and Geldzahler became close friends and travel companions, sharing a sense of humor, interests, and many similar life experiences.  Through their friendship, Geldzahler and his partner Christopher became the subjects of numerous works by Hockney.
