Jeannie Weissglass was born in Morristown, NJ and studied at the New York Studio School, The Fashion Institute of Technology (New York), and L’École des Arts Décoratifs (Nice, FR). She has displayed work at Artist’s Space, Ethan Cohen Fine Arts, Gasser Grunert, and Farrell Pollack Fine Arts, and her work has been featured in several recent group shows, including Cliffhanger at The Royal Society of American Art in 2014, Paper Reveries at the Shirley Fiterman Art Center in 2015 and Grammar at Coustof Waxman and Micro-Salon 7 at Galerie L’Inlassable in Paris, both in 2017.  Her most recent solo exhibitions were “The Secret Life of Porcupines” at KABINETT (5/6 - 6/14/17),  Riptide: Journeys in Early Americana and Beyond at Cathouse FUNeral, and Astro-Bloom, curated by Suzy Spence, The Gallery @1GAP, both in Brooklyn, NY. Her work has been noted in The Village Voice, Elle Decor, NY Arts Magazine, the January 2017 issue of Blouin ArtInfo, and her show at KABINETT (former gallery owned by Gabe Boyers of "B" Dry Goods) was reviewed in the Boston Globe ("When the Quill is Mightier than the Sword," May 25, 2017).
