Signed book from the influential Japanese fashion designer, published in conjunction with his exhibition "Issey Miyake A UN" at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in October to December 1988. Signed and inscribed on the title page in English and Japanese to fashion journalist June Weir, dated September 1, 1988. With a further typed letter signed from Miyake to Weir, mounted with tape to the front free endpaper, sending the advance copy of the book and inviting Weir to the opening of the exhibition. Edited by Nicholas Callaway. Foreword by Isamu Noguchi and an Essay by Jay Cocks. 46 full-page colour photographs by Irving Penn. 4to. Shelf wear to dust jacket; overall very good.
