Signed and inscribed on the half-title to fashion journalist June Weir: "Pour vous, ma chère June avec ma profonde affection / Love / Yves / Paris, Juillet 1986." 221 pp. 4to. Hardcover, grey cloth. Dust jacket with one small loss at the foot. In a black slipcase labeled "Yves Saint Laurent / Images of Design." In very good condition overall.

Together with a small group of clippings and other materials kept inside the book by June Weir. These include: a catalogue to the exhibition which the book accompanied, "Yves Saint Laurent: 28 années de Création" at the Musée des Arts de la Mode, Paris; an invitation to the exhibition opening addressed to June Weir; Editions Herscher brochures for the present book and another book on Saint Laurent, with reproductions of several drawings; an invitation to a Saint Laurent party at the Statue of Liberty on September 12, 1994, addressed to June Weir, with the note "accepted"; several newspaper clippings related to the 1994 copyright battle between Saint Laurent and Ralph Lauren; and an unsent sympathy note in Weir's hand, on stationery of the Hotel Plaza-Athénée, Paris.

From the collection of June Weir-Baron (1928 - 2015), fashion historian and journalist, the first woman Vice President at Fairchild Publications, a major force in her capacity as Fashion Editor and Assistant publisher of Women's Wear Daily and W, as an influential editor at Vogue, Executive Fashion Editor at Harper's Bazaar, deputy Style Editor for The New York Times Sunday Magazine and Contributing Editor at Mirabella.
