Retro pair of black cat-eye sunglasses from the estate of the beloved Golden Girls star.  Black plastic frame with rhinestones affixed to the corners.  No brand marking, manufactured in Taiwan.  In fine condition.

Rue McClanahan was a stage and television actress most beloved for her role as diva Blanche Devereaux on the hit sitcom series The Golden Girls (1985–1992), a performance that won her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 1987.  McClanahan began her career in the 1950s as a New York stage actress, transitioning to television after being cast by Norman Lear in two of his shows, All in the Family (1971–1979) and Maude (1972–1978).
